The Miller Group is once again proud to announce it is serving as Title Sponsor of the 2011 Invest Southwest Capital Conference, the southwestern region’s premier forum for venture capital investing. This year, Invest Southwest will partner with the Venture Capital Conference in the Rockies (VCIR) to connect the region’s most promising startups and emerging growth companies with an audience of hundreds of venture investors, entrepreneurs and service professionals.
The Miller Group has served as the Title Sponsor of Invest Southwest since the conference’s transformation to the Invest Southwest brand in 2006. Rudy R. Miller, Chairman, President & Chief Executive Officer of the Miller Group serves on the conference’s Executive Committee and Selection Panel, in addition to performing various speaking engagements during the event. Christian M. Wolford, Senior Vice President of Miller Capital Corporation also serves on the conference’s Board of Directors, Executive Committee and Selection Panel and has participated as a Mentor Team member for several presenting companies.
The conference is responsible for matching leading investors and bankers with early-stage and emerging growth companies seeking funding. Presenting companies of Invest Southwest (formerly the Arizona Venture Capital Conference and Arizona Angel Investment Conference) have received more than a quarter billion in investment dollars since the inception in 1992, and companies that have presented at VCIR over the past 10 years have collectively generated nearly $5 billion in exit value for their stakeholders.
The 2011 Invest Southwest Venture Capital Conference will begin with the investors’ reception on the evening of November 2, 2011. Presentations by "Best in the Southwest" emerging growth companies, investor seminars, keynote speaker, networking lunch and presenting company forum will be held Thursday, November 3, 2011. The conference concludes on November 4, 2011 with an optional golf networking event at Wildfire Golf Club or hiking network event at Piestewa Peak, each followed by a luncheon.
